No Dial Tone
Ensure all plugs are connected properly and securely.
Inspect the line cord connections at the modular jack and on the telephone.
Inspect the handset cord connections at both ends.
Unplug the telephone and connect it to another modular jack. If it still does not
work, and other telephones using the same jack are working, there is a problem
with this telephone.
Telephone Does Not Ring or Rings Too Softly
Adjust the RINGER switch on the side of the telephone base to a higher setting.
If there are other telephones on the same line, try disconnecting some of them.
Having too many telephones connected can create problems such as low ringer
volume or impaired sound quality during calls.
Calls Cannot Be Dialed or Are Dialed Slowly
Check the dial mode switch and ensure it is set for your type of dialing service,
either TT (Touch Tone) or DP (Dial Pulse).
There Is a Pause During Dialing
When TONE is pressed, or if TONE is in a memory location, there will be a
pause to allow the set to switch from PULSE to TONE.
